Frequently Asked Questions about the Bucks County Wine Trail
The first step to planning a wine tour is to plan transportation. You’ll need to know how many people will be in your group and how long you intend to stay. As a general rule, we recommend splitting up visits to the wine trail over a weekend or two-day period.
Some transportation companies will help you set up where to go and when, and others simply want an itinerary of your planned schedule. Most wineries require reservations for groups of 6 or more. Plan on spending 45 minutes to an hour at each winery so everyone can taste, shop and take photos without feeling rushed. Allow yourself plenty of time. If you’re behind at one winery, you’ll be behind the rest of the day, which could also affect other groups touring.

Each winery varies, but it’s generally $6-20 per winery per person. Some specialty wines or food and wine pairings may have an additional charge.
Each winery has a different reservation policy. Generally, if your group is 6 or more, we recommend that you make a reservation with each winery so they can make sure they have enough staff to accommodate your group. It is a good idea to call each winery you plan to visit to check what their space can accommodate and to see if reservations are needed.

This may vary depending on how large your group is, but to allow travel and tasting time as well as time to browse the gift shop and use the restrooms, plan on having an hour to an hour and a half allotted for visiting each winery.
